Pope Pius XII Council #4422 is proud to be a member of Pope John XXIII Assembly, which upholds the values of the Fourth Degree, Patriotism. They exemplify Patriotism in many ways, such as Decorating the graves of military personnel at Pinelawn National Cemetery in Farmingdale, Long Island. They're also sponsoring a Scholarship essay contest for High School students in 2002. Their a "Fly the Flag" program, acknowledging a Brother Knight who flies the flag faithfully, is getting acclaim at the state level.
The most visible arm of the Knights of Columbus is our Honor Guard of the Fourth Degree (some of the Pope John XXIII Assembly members are shown at the very top of the page). The Honor Guard proudly represent the Knights of Columbus at countless parades, funerals of Brother Knights, and special masses, including the Annual Pro-Life Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, the Annual Bishop's Mass, and the Annual Mass at Our Lady of the Island Shrine in Eastport, Long Island.
Pope Pius XII Council members have proudly served in the Honor Guard. Pope Pius XII Council urges all Fourth Degree Sir Knights to consider joining the Honor Guard
and also encourages all Knights who haven't already done so, to advance to the Fourth Degree. Check with your Council for the assembly nearest you!
